Quebec Law 25 · Personal information protection
Privacy policy
What Declix Solutions collects on declix.ca, why, how it protects it and how to exercise your rights.
Effective October 22, 2026
Person in charge
Declix Solutions, in Sherbrooke (Quebec), is responsible for the personal information collected on this site. The person in charge of protecting it is William Bruneau, CTO. For a question, an access request or a complaint, write to us at info@declix.ca.
What we collect
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your first name, your email and your message; your last name, organization and phone number are optional. It also sends the reason for your request and the language of the page. This information is used only to answer you and follow up on your request.
The website server does not keep your message: it forwards it to us by email. Its technical log only records the date it was sent and your email address (the full message only if sending fails, so that it is not lost).
When you visit the site
To learn which pages are useful, the site measures visits itself, without any outside service: the page viewed, the site you came from, the window size, the browser language and time zone, the time spent, how far the page was scrolled and the buttons used.
No cookies are set and your IP address is not stored in these statistics. To count visitors, the server computes a fingerprint from the IP address, the browser and a secret key that changes every week. The old key is erased, so you cannot be recognized from one week to the next. These statistics are not used to identify you or to build a profile.
Like any web server, ours also keeps a technical log of requests (IP address, page requested, browser, date). It is used for site security and to find missing pages, and it is erased after 90 days.
You can turn off visit measurement on this device. This choice is stored in your browser; if it is cleared, measurement resumes.
Your visits are no longer counted on this device.
Who else has access
We do not sell, rent or give your information to anyone. Only the Declix team reads the form messages. We rely on a few providers:
- OVHcloud hosts the site and its statistics on a server located in Beauharnois, Quebec.
- Microsoft 365 hosts our email: form messages are received and kept there. They may be stored outside Quebec.
- Google Fonts provides the site's typefaces: your browser downloads them from Google's servers, which then receive your IP address and may process it outside Quebec.
- Our videos are on YouTube: they open only if you click their link, and Google's privacy policy applies there.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only authorized team members can access the server, with a login key, and only the necessary ports are open. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, as the law requires.
Your rights
At any time, you can ask us to:
- give you access to the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- erase it, or stop using it if you withdraw your consent.
Write to the person in charge (above): we answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Changes
We will update this policy if our practices change; the date at the top of the page shows its latest version.
